The signing ceremony of strategic cooperation agreement for LNG projects between Jiangsu Yake and DSIC was hold on Sept. 6 in DSIC headquarters. Shengqi, chairman of the board, and HuYongqiang, deputy GM, from Jiangsu Yake and Yang Zhizhong and Deng Changlian of DSIC leaders, etc., attended the ceremony. Deng and Shen signed the agreement.
The two parties will closely cooperate to promote the production efficiency and reduce the cost in regard of the construction of MarkⅢ type cargo containment system, which will lead to a high efficient cooperation and make a win-win. DSIC, as a China’s leading and world’s famous shipyard, is developing the technology and market of the large-scale membrane type LNG carrier. Meanwhile, DSIC is also launching technical innovation and marketing promotion in terms of the large-scale dual-fuel ships. Based on the project of a technical research of MarkⅢtype large-scale LNG carrier, DSIC is carrying out the construction of the world’s first full-closed mock-up tank of MarkⅢ type and the researching of low temperature and pressure bearing.
Jiangsu Yake, a new material enterprise, is a China’s leading company producing semiconductor materials. In 2014, the company started the project of the enhanced polyurethane insulation boards used for ultralow temperature LNG containment system. At present, the company has obtained all certificates issued for insulation boards, including Mark Ⅲ tank insulation boards. Yake Natural Gas Engineering Company, an affiliated company of Jiangsu Yake, has gained the Mark Ⅲ tank EPC certificate issued by GTT.
