Recently, the jacket skirt pile gripper developed by the Outfitting Company of DSIC has passed the inspection and acceptance of the expert group of CNOOC. The successful development of this equipment filled the blank of the complete set of equipment in the domestic market and ended the foreign monopoly. The jacket skirt pile gripper is a kind of hydraulic fixture widely used in deep-water jacket installation. It is an indispensable equipment for deep-water jacket installation and is widely used in the installation of oil drilling platforms and large offshore wind power platforms. Previously, such complete sets of equipment in China were mainly imported from abroad. Since undertaking this project, DSIC organized personnel to conduct field investigation for many times and mastered the concrete structure, working principle and technical parameters of the pile gripper. After careful planning and reasonable construction, we successively completed the principle design, production design, engineering prototype and tooling production, workshop load test and offshore functional test of the pile gripper, and the final indicators met the requirements of the contract.
