DSIC delivered the 300K ton VLCC “New Treasure” to China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd. Sun Wei, the leader of CSIC, Deng Renjie, the Deputy General manager of China Merchants Group, Xie Chunlin, Chairman of China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd and Liu Zheng, Yang Zhizhong, Zheng Wei, Zhang Yuhuan from DSIC attended the ceremony.

 “New Treasure” is the first vessel added with the desulfurization system independently designed and built by DSIC, and also the first VLCC in the world that has been verified through CCS’ desulfurization system testing program. Building “New Treasure” was quite difficult and a lot of technical innovation were made. DSIC team has carried out extensive study on the installation and commissioning through scientific planning and careful organization. DSIC also worked out a reasonable Mid-term Agenda and carried out the work orderly as planned. By means of these measures, DSIC completed successfully the installation of the desulfurization system and system mooring within just thirty days. The vessel’s integrity before sea trial has reached the best level for this series of vessels. During the sea trial, it passed all delivery tests just at one time. Thus, the sea trial program was completed three days earlier. The vessel was ready to deliver within only 20 days after the sea trial.
