On May 31st, the commercial and technical team led by Yang Zhizhong, the General Manager of DSIC, held a promotion meeting for the new ship type in Athens, Greece. More than 150 people, including well-known local shipowners, global middlemen and major classification societies, were invited to the meeting, covering most of the mainstream elites of the shipping industry in Greece.
This promotion meeting mainly introduced the latest ship design of DSIC, covering the whole series of liquid cargo ships from small oil tankers to ultra large oil tankers, from branch containers to 23000TEU super-large container ships, the whole series of bulk ships and typical gas ships. In addition, the special ship types such as MPV, shuttle cruise, FPSO and LNG filled carrier were introduced. Moreover, DSIC also took this opportunity to introduce its strong ability in ship type development and innovation to local shipowners and middlemen, released the solution to meet the increasingly-stringent requirements on energy conservation and emission reduction, as well as the latest research results on low-ballast water ship, wind power booster ship and intelligent ship.
This meeting is the first large-scale overseas market promotion event held by DSIC, demonstrating DSIC’s powerful capacity in ship design and construction. The successful organization of this meeting is an important step for DSIC to seize the market in the context of the new international recovering shipbuilding market.
