On March 11, 2019, DSIC held a signing and naming ceremony for 81# 308k DWT VLCC built for China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES), where tripartite representatives of CMES, CSOC and DSIC signed on the ship delivery and acceptance protocols. This series of VLCCs are a new-generation brand shiptype with strong market competitiveness developed independently by DSIC, an energy-saving and environment-friendly product of VLCC with anti-sediment function tailor made for CMES. The carrier registers CCS class, flies Hong Kong flag and complies with EU requirements in hazardous substance emission all with excellent performance indicators.
