On Nov. 23, No.5 8800TEU Container Vessel of “MSC SOFIA CELESTE”, constructed for CIMC Financial Leasing and MSC by DSIC, was named for delivery, where it only took 5 days to complete sea trial, setting another record of shortest sea trial period in the same serial of vessels. The representatives on behalf of MSC, CIMC Financial Leasing, CSOC and DSIC signed the delivery and acceptance protocol accordingly.
Before sea trial of this vessel, DSIC has summed up the previous experiences of sea trials for this serial of vessels seriously, brought forth new working ideas, elaborated project planning, and perfected inspection procedures. The technical staff and QC inspectors have communicated the sea trial items with the owners and surveyors beforehand so as to verify inspection methods; the commissioning team have finished commissioning of various equipment effectively before sea trial, laying a foundation for smooth sea trial. During sea trial, relevant departments have worked closely and all inspection work has been in solid progress. It has only taken DSIC 5 days to complete the sea trial, which has set a record of the shortest sea trial period in the same serial of vessels.
